The Answers You Need

 

How do I schedule a tour of Reid Farm?

Please contact us to schedule a tour. We offer tours, by appointment, on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

 

Do we need wedding insurance?

We require all clients to present proof of wedding insurance at least 30 days before the event. Insurance ranges from $250-$500 depending upon guest count and serving of alcohol. We will be happy to refer you to a reputable firm for procurement of insurance.

 

Is a deposit required for booking?

We require 50% of your venue fee at the time of booking. The remainder will be due 60 days prior to your event.

 

Is a security deposit required?

A $500 security deposit is required at the time of booking. It will be refunded within 5-7 business days once the venue has been inspected and deemed to be left in the condition in which it was found.

 

May we choose our own vendors?

Of course. At Reid Farm, we believe you know your tastes and preferences better than anyone. We do require that vendors are  properly licensed, insured, and approved by Reid Farm management. Caterers must provide proof of licensure and insurance at least two weeks prior to the event.

 

Are alcoholic beverages allowed?

Beer and wine are permitted for adults 21 years of age and older. Alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured bartender. Proof of license and insurance should be submitted to Reid Farm two weeks prior to the event. Last call will be strictly enforced.

 

Are there any limitations on decorations?

As our property is a natural habitat for many plants and animals, we must prohibit loose glitter, confetti, rice, birdseed, potpourri, and other small objects that can spread easily. Nails, screws, tape, and staples are also not allowed on any surfaces. If you have a particular request for decoration, please ask us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Battery-powered candles are preferred. Candles may be used for centerpieces if they are enclosed in containers. Artificial flower petals are not allowed.

 

What are the expectations for cleanup?

We will arrange a specific time that your event must be over. At that time, all guests, vendors, decorations, and any other personal items must be removed from the property. Reid Farm will manage trash throughout the event. Clients are responsible for making sure they have all trash in proper receptacles, and we will remove it from the venue for you.

 

What types of tables and chairs are available?

We provide 150 folding garden chairs, 150 Chiavari chairs, 25--60" round tables, 6--8' rectangular tables, and 6--6' rectangular tables. If needed, more tables and chairs can be provided at an additional cost.
 

What will we do in the event of rain?

We want your day to be perfect. If the forecast calls for rain, you may choose to have your ceremony under the pavilion.

 

When are we allowed to visit the venue for event consultations?

We will plan one 90-minute consultation meetings. Should you need to meet briefly at the farm at other times, we will do our best to accommodate you.

 

Should we hire a wedding planner?

We strongly recommend hiring a professional wedding planner to insure your day runs as smoothly  as possible.

 

Is smoking allowed on the property?

No smoking is allowed on the property except in the designated area. All remnants should be placed in the provided container. E-cigarettes will also be allowed only in the designated area.

 

Is security provided?

We do provide security as part of the wedding package. 

 

How does parking work at Reid Farm?

We have drop-off area  that leads to a large parking area. We also provide parking attendants and golf cart shuttles to the ceremony site. Handicapped and elderly guests can be driven directly to the site, and these cars can be valeted if needed.

 

Are pets allowed?

We would love to have your best friend join you on your wedding day. We ask that you bring only well-trained dogs and that they remain on-leash at all times. Should you choose to bring your dog, you must have a handler for the day, and use designated areas for bathroom breaks. Any remnants left  in other places will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit. Pets are limited to the wedding couple.

 

Will Reid Farm have attendants available during set-up and the day of event?

Yes. At least one member of the team will be in attendance or available by text during set-up, the ceremony, and the reception.
